Japandi - the new interior style
Japandi. One of the newer kids on the block when it comes to interior design. As suggested by the name, it is a combination of Scandinavian and Japanese interiors. A match made in minimal heaven. The minimal, functional Scandi style mixed with the natural, minimal designs found in Japanese style, makes for a perfect interior design combination.
The living room
Scandi and Japanese style both include minimal designs with natural, wood additions.
The kitchen
One of the key things when incorporating Japandi design into your home, is the clean lines and minimal clutter, playing on that calming vibe known from the Japanese style.
The bedroom
In my opinion, the Japandi style is the perfect bedroom aesthetic. Calming, relaxing but still has some interesting features with the wooden accents and clean lines.
The office
Again, the way of Japanese living is minimal and clutter free, making this a great way to design your office or workspace.
The dining room
Last but certainly not least, the dining room.
What are your thoughts on this new design style? I really love the mix between the 2 styles. It’s a fun, new addition to the traditional Scandi interiors that has been popular for the last 5 years.
