2023 Fashion Trends

2023 Fashion Trends

The time is here, to take a look at whats trends are on the rise and are most likely going to dominate the fashion landscape in 2023.

This year we’re seeing the rise of brand new fashion trends coming into play, resurgence of some old favourites and of course, some that are continuing to be on top from 2022.

Ballet core

Yeah, you read that correctly. In 2022, the word core was used to explain almost every new trend. This year, it’s staying. We saw the beginning of the Ballet trend in 2022 with the resurgence of the ballet flat. Now, we’re taking it to another level. It makes sense with athleisure being a top trend for the last few seasons, paired with the rise of the clean girl aesthetic. Ballet fashion is hyper-feminine, soft pastels, and draping silhouettes.

Silver sparkle

Get ready for sparkles, and a lot of it. Silver is quickly becoming the colour of the season. Think jewellery, bags, shoes and clothes. Shimmer isn’t anything new, usually worn during the holiday party season and for nights out. However, in 2023 we’re bringing it out in the daytime too. Metallic, silver leather pants paired with a white tee & a black blazer, or a silver sequin mini skirt with some opaque tights and a black long sleeve.

90’s minimalism

The 90’s has been around for the last few years, but mainly the fun, colourful side. This year, the minimalistic vibes are high, which, i am personally a fan of. Shades of grey, sleek cut blazers & ling silky slip dresses are here to stay.

Barely there

We saw sheer outfits everywhere on the streets of Paris Fashion Week. Mainly with the highly popular Prada sheer maxi skirt. In 2023, the sheer trend is going bigger. Sheer dresses, tops, pants - you name it.

Go big or go home

Another trend that first appeared in 2022. The big bag trend. The era of the micro mini bag is slowly fading. The slouchy, carry all style bags are back. The larger the better when it comes to this trend. Designer brands are taking this trend and running, Bottega Veneta with their XL hobo style and Louis Vuitton re-releasing some of their iconic, early 2000s pieces.

Theres a look at just a handful of trends to join on this year. What ones do you think you’ll try?
