BASIC WARDROBE ESSENTIALS
In this day and age trends come and go faster than you can change your underwear, which is why I believe it is so important to have high quality staple pieces in your wardrobe that will just never go out of style. These staples are a white shirt, a great fitting pair of jeans, an oversized blazer, a LBD (little black dress) and a leather (or in mine and other vego’s case pleather) jacket. The versatility of these items will ensure that your outfits will always look fresh and fashion-forward without the need to buy a new outfit for every occasion, and by making a one-time investment in these items you ultimately won’t be breaking the bank!
White Shirt
White shirts look great when layered with other items, you can create so many different looks with a shirt just by what you pair it with. Buy your shirt a size or two bigger than you would usually go as this will give you more versatility when styling it - you can tie it up, wear it over other tops, have it as a loose beachy fit, tuck it in to pants, the world is your oyster!

Jeans
Jeans have been around for more than 140 years, and what began as a hardy work pant has since evolved into something beautiful in fashion. With so many different styles to choose from, there is an option for everybody and every body. Trends with jeans change each season, so when looking for a staple pair I suggest a light to mid blue, straight leg pair that are well fitted around your waist and hips and fall nicely over your thighs, think Levis 501s - the ultimate jeans. This style of jean is always in, can be altered according to your outfit!

Oversized Blazer
This is one extremely simple way to turn every outfit into an absolute MOMENT. Brunch with girls? Blazer. Job interview? Blazer. Night out? Blazer. Honestly this piece is made for every occasion and will amplify your look and make you feel like a boss. I would recommend a black or white blazer with a structured shoulder and again, go a size or two up for layering purposes.

LBD
A little black dress is a must have in every woman’s wardrobe. When looking for a LBD go a simple shape, a great fit and a quality fabric, this will ensure that your dress lasts the ages and doesn’t go out of style. Choose a version that you are comfortable with from spaghetti strap, t-shirt, long sleeve, mini/midi/maxi length, whichever you feel best suits your style and personality!

Leather or Leather Look Jacket
This is another piece, similarly to the blazer, that is going to ramp up any outfit you wear. You can wear a leather jacket on a day to day basis paired with a tee and jeans, or you can spice it up and wear it over any dress or skirt combos! You can create super casual looks, think coffee dates, going to the movies, parties or gatherings, or really classy dressed up looks, think night on the town, dinner dates and events.
