THROWBACK TO THE 2000's
THROW IT BACK TO THE 2000s
Let’s just take a moment to wind back in time to the top trends of the 2000s! I can tell you now that some of these throwback trends are some of the biggest styles and looks to this day. I can guarantee all of you are wearing them on a daily basis and you don’t even realise you’re doing it.
Let’s jump into this and I’ll show you the best ways to style all of these looks.
. JUICY TRACKSUIT SETS
Do you guys remember that really tacky suede flared matching tracksuit sets that had “JUICY” written on the bum in diamontes? well, I don’t have to be the one to tell you guys that this was the ICONIC look for the 2000s! but lets now fast forward that to 2020 here are some super cute style tips on how to make these tacky sets look cute and wearable for your daily activities. For this throwback look I would try with a lighter pastel coloured set nothing too bright, you’ll want to pair this look with some super chunky white platform sneakers and a little white or black tank top keeping this look super casual yet still super cute would also recommend adding some super cute accessories like a vintage little baguette-shaped bag or a nice big tote bag if that’s more your style. pairing this with your favourite silver chunky necklace to finish this look off.
BAGGY JEANS & FLARES
This is a top trending style at the moment I can guarantee that every single one of you babes out there owns at least 1 pair of them. For these looks, I love to go with high waisted but if low waisted is your style then don’t be afraid to rock it. I’m seeing a lot of the flared style of jeans as well as the classic baggy ripped jeans. Trying not to wear black for this look as mostly seen in the 2000s it is mainly light blue denim wash or darker blue denim.
To keep this look super 2000s inspired try pairing it with either a printed tank top or tight tee-shirt make sure the top has some kind of wording or logo on the front as that adds a major feature to this look. Pairing this look with either a pair of high top platform converse style.
Now for one of the best parts to finish off a look the accessories,
to add a stand out feature to this I highly recommend a hair scarf bandana look with a pair of vintage-look sunglasses, a cute printed or fur style bag. If you’re wanting to add something super extra try to put on a thick coloured belt for a super edgy look.
ANIMAL PRINT
You guys already know how big of a trend animal print is this year well back in the 2000s it was a top trend as well let’s take a look at all the different ways to style this look. My main three animal prints I love to play around with are Leopard, Zebra & Cow print there are many more types of prints you can definitely ware but I feel these are the main trending ones that everyone NEEDS to know about. Animal print can be worn in any form of pants, skirt, dress jacket, shoes & accessories the options are endless.
People think animal print can be super tricky to wear and match with things but in fact, it is actually super easy! let’s start off with zebra print & cow print matching this style is probably the most simple one as you can really pair it with any style black or white top. My go-to when wearing this would be a backless long sleeve white cropped top or a black version. as well as you can also go out of your comfort zone a little bit and try wearing a leather crop top with it to add a more edgy biker girl look. adding a pair of black platform boots, little black shoulder bag and jewellery of your choice to complete this look.
Now the part everyone’s been waiting for LEOPARD PRINT! if I went into your wardrobes I bet you I could find at least 1 thing that was leopard print. This look is probably up there with the top 10 trends, some of the best ways to wear this look would be pairing it with a pair of black flared stretch pants and a super cute leopard print tank top but there are many other ways to wear this amazing trend. Starting with a pair of Flared leopard print pants adding a neutral coloured tee-shirt to the outfit ( as you’re wanting to keep the main focus on that stunning leopard print) as well as some chunky shoes or sandals now for the accessories I love to pair leopard on leopard adding a cute fluffy bucket hat and a tote bag to finish this one-off.
If you’re wanting to try any of these outfits i suggest you do it! don’t be scared as you can never go wrong with the 2000s looks! keep it funny bright and happy! go and rock these outfits on the town now angels!
