Best of Melbourne Fashion Week Street Style
The street style of Fashion Weeks is of just as much interest as the looks on runway looks these days. There is creativity, playful interpretations of trends, designer looks and a whole lot of personal flair seen across all venues during the week. It's like a pre show or support act for the main event we’ve all come to see. It's also great inspiration for how to interpret runway trends for everyday wear.
I met talented Street Style Photographer Aria at the opening night runway of Melbourne Fashion Week, as she captured the details of the looks put together by the fashion faithful. She stopped me to photograph my hair clips that featured the names of cities hosting major fashion weeks around the world. We got chatting and it was so interesting to discover her work. After attending almost every runway show of the week and seeing the highlights amongst street style, I reached out to her so we could feature her work and her eye for fashion. These are my favourites of her photos and the stand out looks of the week.

COLOURED SUITS!
Colourful suits were the must have for fashion week. With many variations on cut and colours ranging from pale blue to bright red and fluro green, there is one for everyone.
BRIGHT ACCESSORIES
Do this however you like but bring on colour. Any style, any accessory but make it bright and bold.
NEUTRAL TONES
Neutral is never over, For those of you who love these tones, keep wearing them! Especially whites and creams heading into summer.
DESIGNER BAGS
The labels were out in force and nowhere more so than on bags. In keeping with the bright or neutral themes.
WEAR THE DESIGNER
If you’re lucky enough to have a designer hook up or save enough to get your hands on some pieces, wearing the latest collection to the runway was definitely a strong option.
COUPLE GOALS
Mix and match with your fashion week partner and no matter what look you go for, rock it together.
And just for fun the picture that introduced me to Aria’s work….
