Daniel Lee makes his Burberry debut
After the announcement back in September 2022, that Daniel Lee would be leaving Bottega Veneta and the world has been eagerly awaiting to see what he would do for his first collection as Creative Director at Burberry. He is responsible for the impressive revival of Italian fashion house Bottega Veneta.
It is fair to say that his debut at London fashion week was the most anticipated of the week. In the lead up to the event, we saw the rebrand begin with the switch from the plain, bolded font back to their brands roots with the iconic lettering and horse emblem, but with a modern twist of blue. Lets take a look at some of the runway looks from Burberry’s show!
Personally, I think the show was a success and the pieces show the Lee is heading in the right direction, to bring Burberry into a more modern era for the British brand. I love the play with Burberry’s iconic tartan print, shown in multiple colours, keeping the hints to the brands heritage. I am excited to see what he does next!
