Fashion week is an iconic time in any major fashion city. We often look to the runways to set trends and see how designers have expressed themselves, but the real fashion expression and trend setters can often be found in the streets around the runway.

Over the last few years the interest in Fashion week street style has grown. It’s less about celebrity front row chic and more about the creative and stylish looks of the everyday fashionistas.

I’ve collected my favourite street style looks from the 2021 New York, Paris, Tokyo, Melbourne & London fashion weeks. Each fashion capital has a distinctive style but we are seeing certain street style trends emerge across the board.

Natural Hair has been a popular choice around the world. Perhaps its been because so many go us have had to adapt to life without hairdressers over the last twelve months or perhaps its part of this new relaxed, less is more revolution that’s emerging since Covid. Either way it is really a case of you do you when it comes to hair.

Small to medium handbags are the go to for most fashion week attendees. The age of the tiny clutch seems to be over and now its about practicality and easy to cary.

Shoes also seem to be more practical though no less fabulous. Flats and sneakers are around and though i’m personally not a fan for such events, the ones we are seeing have a certain flair. Boots are also popular but in bold textures and colours.
