Spring Staples You Need For An Effortless Look
Melbourne is finally coming out of lockdown and I’m ready to reunion with my spring pieces. Here I picked out 9 clothing pieces as my spring staples. Hope it brings some style inspirations and let’s enjoy the spring breeze together!
Let’s start with tops. A simple camisole is always a classic basic. I choose the design with squared neckline and relatively thicker strap to suit my body shape. Pairing with a beige toned knit pants creates an effortless casual look. Get in on the knit trend!
Black camisole: Cotton On
Knit Trousers: Eleven Six
Adding a thin knit and throw it on shoulders when it’s a bit chilly outside, you know I love layering. Also it’s a perfect way to play with colours when you are unsure whether a specific colour suits you or not.
White knit: Uniqlo
White sneakers: Lacoste
Bag: Oroton
Apart from camisole, plain white T-shirt is another “must have” item in our wardrobe. My pick for this spring would be this beige heavy weight T-shirt from Arket. The heavy weight jersey material brings more structure to the look, which is perfect for either wearing separately or as layering base. Comparing with a crisp white T-shirt, an off-white piece is more friendly to various skin tones.

Don’t rush to put away your leather pants. It’s such a statement piece with any of your basics. Replacing winter boots with sandals, an edgy spring look is achieved in seconds. The same layering rules applies as mentioned before, layer a black sweatshirt over surely adds that oomph to the whole look.
Black sweatshirt: Uniqlo
Leather Pants: Nasty Gal
Nude sandal: Nine West
A doll dress with puff sleeves is such an “easy to throw on” piece for spring. Normally I’m not a big fan of girly style but I’m intrigued with this design. If you are someone like me, go for black as it’s the safest option to try something new.

loafers: Midas
To balance the girly look, just simply throw on a classic denim jacket. I always go for a slightly oversized fit as it creates a relaxed feel.
Oversized denim jacket: Uniqlo U 2020SS
Last but not least, we can’t leave out the classic shirt and jeans combo. For a more casual look, I go for an oversized shirt instead of a fitted design and I give up the well-known “french tuck” look. Leaving the shirt out definitely feels much more casual.
Oversized black poplin shirt: Arket
It’s time to pull out your light washed denims. For me personally, a pair of slim fit straight leg jeans creating a slimmer illusion fits my pear-shaped body perfectly. Putting on a pair of white pump makes the casual look a bit more polished.

White pumps: Sandler Shoes
Those are my spring picks. You can easily mix and match with every single piece. Creating a versatile and practice wardrobe is always the goal here. Happy spring!
