Jeans You Need for Spring and How To Style Them
Spring is just around the corner, it’s time to take a deep dive into your wardrobe and be prepared for the warmer days. To dress for spring and autumn, aka those miserable weathers, could be a mission. So here I bring you the wardrobe essential that you can easily pull off, the Denim Jeans.
The most worn style for me personally is without doubt a high-rise straight leg fit. Apart from it, I’m also drawn to the loose and slouchy fit recently thanks to the whole lockdown and “work from home “ situation. Now let’s take a look at my new in denim pieces and how I style them.
My Recent Denim Jeans Purchase
When coming to the straight leg style, The “& Other Stories Straight Stretch Jeans” has to be my recent favourite piece. It’s made of 99% organic cotton and feels absolutely delightful on the body. It hugs the thighs while maintaining the straight fit, creating a slimmer illusion. However, one thing to note, this pair is a medium rise which makes the fit slightly less flattering on the hip area than a high-waisted pair.
The “Weekday LASH Extra High Mom Jeans” is another surprise to me. It is a tapered Mom jeans fit, which balloons out in the thigh area and tapered around the ankle. The extra high design cinches the waist and hugs the hips perfectly. The fit looks absolutely flattering on more “pear shaped body”.
As I said in the beginning, jeans with a bit looser fit draw my attention recently. The “Weekday ROWE Extra High Straight Jeans” is the one for me. You may notice from the name, it is still a straight fit, however, the length of this pair is extra long. Considering how tall I am (5’45’’), it becomes a slouchy fit on me. The extra high waisted design elongates the legs a lot, which is always a plus.
For this spring, I decided to jump on the train of wide leg jeans. The “& Other Stories Flared High Waist Jeans” is organic cotton blend and has a comfort stretch, which is a perfect piece for spring. The flared look adds a feminine touch as well as a vintage feel to the look.
How I Style Them
For the first look, I paired the “& Other Stories Straight Stretch Jeans” with the most basic pieces to create an everyday chic look.
White Crew Neck T-shirt: Uniqlo
Black Blazer: Arket
Black Mules: & Other Stories
As styling the “Weekday LASH Extra High Mom Jeans”, I chose an oversized sweater to create a casual and cute look. Rolling up the jeans makes the whole look a bit more fun.
Sweater: inusway
Squared Toe Heels: & Other Stories
My third look featuring the “Weekday ROWE Extra High Straight Jeans” definitely feels more old school and masculine.
Black Crew Neck T-shirt: Kookai
Black Poplin Shirt: Arket
Belt: Uniqlo
Sneakers: Converse
Coming to the last look, I paired the “& Other Stories Flared High Waist Jeans” with a fitted crop top. This look is surely a more girly look head to toe.
Black top: Modus
Cream Squared Toe Boots: Chio Exclusive (from ASOS)
Hope this post gives you some style inspirations for transition seasons! xx
