5 Effortless Looks for the Valentine's Day
With everything going on around the world, we've been reaching for comfortable "at-home" clothes for the longest time. But here comes the "Valentine's Day", the perfect excuse to dress up even that means a fancy dinner with your loved one at home.
Here I bring you 5 outfit ideas to help you through the "I have nothing to wear"moment and get the day sparkle.
Look 1: Girly chic look
With all the outfit planning, you can just save the hassle and go with a one piece garment (dress, jumpsuit, and playsuit). You can never go wrong with this safest option, but the question is how to make it special? Choose those pieces with chic prints and unique designs. The one I'm wearing is a playsuit from Zimmermann. The muted floral prints together with the open back design screams chic girly vibe to me.
Look 2: Play with the colours of Valentine’s Day
Talking about Valentine's day, it is no secret that pink and red are the first two colours popping into my head. Why not taking the chance to play with colour and enjoy the fun of it?
Here, I pair the light pink with the red skirt to avoid a top-heavy look. It's totally fine to throw on a red heel but I choose a nude pair to tone down a little bit in order to suit my personal style.
Look 3: Head to toe Black
The look below is for girl who is not a big fan of dresses and skirts. We played with colours before so how about mixing and matching clothing textures this time?
If you know me well, head to toe black will always be included in any outfit planning. An all black look sometimes will appear a bit dull and boring. And that's why I add the black beret to the look, meanwhile, it does bring a hint of feminine to it. Some gold jewelries and a bold red lip always help to elevate the look too.
Look 4: Dress up your Jeans
Jeans are always categorised as “casual piece” in our wardrobe, it’s time to show the world how versatile they are.
Dress the jean up by pairing it with a top with a bit of characteristics, like blouse with puffy sleeves or ruffle details. It immediately elevates the look that is perfect for a fancy occasion. Choose a more slimmer fit always looks less casual than a slouchy fit and replace your regular sneakers with a pointed heel mule, that’s all you need to dress up your everyday jeans.
Look 5: Dress with comfort
Look good or feel comfortable? I’m here to tell you, you can have it both ways.
Pull out your oversized long white shirt and cinch in with a statement belt. Throw on a fancy boots, and ta-da, you have your comfy styled look for your date night!. You can always put on some statement jewelries or grab a fancy bag if you feel a bit plain.
There you have my 5 outfit ideas for the upcoming Valentine’s day and happy outfit planning!
